Liebe Group Staff
Bec joined the Liebe Group as Executive Officer in January 2017. Originally from Buntine, Bec completed her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and worked for over 4 years as a Landscape Architect in Perth and rural WA before moving to Dalwallinu. Bec has extensive project management experience and a strong passion for agriculture in the local area.
Administration and Communications Officer
Danielle joined the Liebe Group in August 2017. Originally from Dalwallinu, she moved to the Sunshine Coast QLD in 2006. After getting married, her and her husband decided it was time to come back to Dalwallinu. Danielle is excited to work with members of the Liebe Group and learn more about agriculture in the local region.
Research Agronomist and Coordinator
Alana joined the Liebe Group in March 2017. Whilst originally an inner city girl from Perth, she now lives in the Wongan Hills area. Alana attended Curtin University, Muresk campus, graduating with a Bsc. Science, Agribusinesss. Joining the Liebe group family is an exciting step in her career, as it provides an avenue to address our growers’ needs and concerns by providing critical industry networks and sharing of information, through trials, workshops, field days and much, much more. Alana looks forward to working with the Liebe team and grower members, whose purpose and values are to achieve outcomes, moving Agriculture into the future, through a whole industry approach.
Sophie manages the finances for the group, having stepped down from the Executive Officer’s role in October 2009 to have a baby. Sophie grew up on a station in the Murchison and completed a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations at Edith Cowan University in 2004. After completing her degree, Sophie worked at an advertising agency in Perth for nearly two years.
Development and Support Officer
Rebecca joined the Liebe Group in March 2017 in the role of Development and Support Officer. Although not from a farming background, Rebecca has developed a passion for, and a wealth of experiences in, working in the agricultural industry across WA. Rebecca graduated with 1st class honours in Animal Science at the University of Western Australia in 2010 and has since worked in a range of roles with the Grower Group Alliance, the Department of Agriculture and Food, CSBP and now in her own consulting business (in project management, facilitation, stakeholder engagement and extension).
Dr Michael Robertson
Liebe Group Patron
Dr Michael Robertson is the Deputy and Science Director of CSIRO Agriculture and the inaugural Liebe Group Patron since April 2017 . Based in Perth, his research background is in crop agronomy and simulation modelling, where his work has aimed to analyse and understand broadacre farming systems to inform better management regimes for economic, environmental and social outcomes. The connection between the Liebe Group and Dr Robertson will assist the group in furthering the facilitation of ongoing Participatory Action Research (PAR), between growers and researchers, and will aim to strengthen the relationship between Liebe and CSIRO.
